Insane (But True) Things About Transcend GOOD and EVIL
Let's go deeper! Hello beautiful people, and welcome to our today's meditation session.
Let us today discuss what is good and what is evil. Let us find the difference and see the truth behind it. As you all know, you have all been taught that we should always strive for good and not do evil deeds. But, does evil exist and does good exist? So, to be free to look, you have to be now. You have to develop this skill of observation.
Try observing without wanting to change anything. It is almost like a scientist watching something exciting, but he wants to see the result without his intervention. You are even more accessible than a scientist because a scientist has an interest in this experience. The scientist wants to know what will happen. The skill observation is just pure attention looking now at what is happening.
Now that we have cleared our mind, let us see if there is something called good or evil? If you observe outside, you will see that there is no actual definition of good or bad. The animals do not kill just because they are evil. They kill because they want to eat. On the other side, animals don't do good because they want to do good. They do something that we humans see as a good thing.
So, now, let us turn around our attention from outside to inside and look at ourselves somewhere in our evolution. We have started to thinking, and this thinking has taken over our perception. Everything that we see, we comment inside our head. We have a memory inside of us from our ancestors' ancestors plus the memory that we have together developed while living in this world.
We have become this part of this human consciousness, and to freely look at what is happening, we have to step outside of human consciousness. Not expand it or not grow it. We have to step out of it entirely and go in the other direction. We have to look at what we consider evil closely and what we consider as good.
As we all know, there were some deeds in human history that we characterize as evil. But are they evil, or is it only perception in a human brain that says this is evil? For instance, please take a look at the definition of what is evil. If someone kills one person, he's referred to as a killer. If someone kills three or five people, he's referred to as a serial killer. But if someone kills millions of people, he's referred to as the greatest conqueror for them all.
Do you see the difference, and do you know what the human mind does? So, we have created the norms that define what is good and what is evil. To be completely free from these norms, we have to let them go. We have to take these classes about the truth.
We are filtering our perceptions and things that we do and things that are happening outside. We have to stop comparing ourselves to other items and the other things to others. We have to stop comparing good with evil. If I do this, you may ask yourself, will I become evil, will I do some nasty things to other people?
And the answer is if you are entirely present. If you go beyond good and evil, beyond this definition, you will automatically act when it is needed for what is required.
Let's say, for example, exercising, a lot of us don't like to exercise. We want to sit because it is comfortable. We like to eat because we're feeling nice and we could characterize this as a good thing. We could also say that exercising is a bad thing but someone else will tell a completely different something.
We have to see what is there, and you can only see that by thoroughly observing—observing without thinking anything. Just know the truth without the word inside our head, and the truth is, we cannot always do everything that we want to do. We have to do something that is needed.
In this example of exercising, when needed, you have to stand up and do it. You will automatically do it because there is no voice inside your head telling you. You will do it later, don't do it. It's not good; it's terrible—the same thing with the other things with the evil. You will not do evil because you see that someone who suffers from this observation comes compassion, and compassion comes from love.
How can you do a bad thing if you have compassion and if you have love? So, practice this as always, watch, observe, see the truth behind the thoughts in your head behind the words and behind the image that is constantly clouding your mind.
If you want to develop this observation skill, you have to ask yourself, is it possible even for a second to have a quiet mind without thinking anything?
Thank you once more for being with me on today's meditation session. Please
make these inquiries, and we also have a lot of other inquiries on our meditation sessions. You can do it together with me or by yourself.
