Infynites I's and Eyes Meditation: How Not Understanding What The Meaning Of The Word "Desire", Can Make You Sick?
How Not Understanding What The Meaning Of The Word "Desire", Can Make You Sick?
Let's go deeper! Hello beautiful people, and welcome to today's meditation session.
Let us today together see what the word desire is and understand its true meaning. Let us know the desire and see if, after reading this awareness, we will still choose to do it, pursue it or not.
Firstly, let us see what we know about desire. What we have heard about other people and what do we do in our life with our desires. Almost everyone in every day, living people would say, you want it because you want it. But is this truly so?
Why do we want something, and we don't want something else? Is that a part of our program or something completely different?
Let us try to understand what is happening and inquire together into this. When you see something beautiful, for some reason, we want it. Then, there comes this urge to have it, own it, drive it, feel it, and have fun with it.
But how does it all begin?
To understand that, we have to go inside, inside of our head. And also, we have to see what is happening around us.
So, as always said, we have to develop the skill of the observer and observation. That is the essential tool in your arsenal to understanding your life and going beyond all delusions.
To understand the observation and practice of that skill, we have a special meditation session where I explained this further and I would link it somewhere here for you to see it.
Let us go back to watching and observing what is happening around you and inside you. Let's say you are walking down the street and you see a beautiful mountain or a beautiful car or a beautiful woman or a man. At that moment, you are stunned by that beauty you see.
Your brain freezes; it doesn't record. It just observes thoroughly without watching as soon as it's passed. Let's say the car is driving, or a beautiful woman is walking or a handsome man. As soon as he passes, your brain comes around and divide itself into one who's observed and the one who is watching. And then, it says, oh, that was so beautiful.
Imagine if I could have it, then comes this little beautiful feeling when you imagine it inside your head, and you already want it. You're already caught in a trap, but if you slow that process, really slow it and watch what is happening. That is when you can decide what you want or do you want whatever that you admire.
Let's say again, the beautiful car is driving by, and you see it. You watch it, then comes the thought, then comes the image inside of your head of you sitting and driving that car. You imagine how it would be like when you drive it.
So firstly, there was a pure observation. In a few milliseconds or a few seconds later, you see yourself. You see an image of yourself; you have divided yourself and your energy. You watch, and you don't care about that car anymore. You want that car.
From that image comes the desire and wanting because you need that car. You are walking every day to your job, and you want that car. Now when you know and when you observe, you can freely decide whether you want to watch whatever you admire, or you want to watch without wanting, or you want to pursue that desire.
But know this, every desire leads to suffering ultimately. Why and how is it so, you may ask yourself. Well, if you want something, you are not anymore there. You are not anymore in a presence. You have seen something beautiful, and now you want it.
As long as you desire that thing, you are limiting your happiness and your joy at this moment because the desire works like this: "I cannot be happy until I have that."
You want it, and you are not happy now, and when you get it, you think you will feel tremendous happiness because you finally have it. But, it isn't the happiness inside of that thing. The joy is inside of you because you finally allow yourself to feel happy. The object that you want doesn't make you happy. You make yourself comfortable.
The excellent way or balance between living in this world is to realize that you need something for your daily life, watch it, observe it and let it go. You can let it go by applying the process that we have already said here. Just watch that thing, and when the time
comes you will act and get what you need without wanting it.
I hope this is a little bit clear and that you can implement it in your life. As always, you have to try this for yourself. It doesn't mean a thing if I say this for you while I'm talking to you. You have to do this with me, and you have to watch and observe what is happening inside you.
Do not ask for a solution from anyone. You have to find a solution and the best thing that works for you. I'm only here to talk with you like a friend.
To understand what is happening, by doing this, I know it deeply too. Thank you once more for being with me in todays' meditation session and helping me and helping you.
