Is Kindness Self-Identification?
Is there any self-identity in a kind person? Kindness is a beautiful
mental state! However, all competitive and contentious situations have a sense
of self-identity. In the same way, all the qualities that compete with each
other are self-identity.
Even segregation is still a form of self-identity. Also, nonviolence is still
a matter of self-identity. Therefore, if a person is kind, he will be under
pressure to suffer.
Try not to have any differences of opinion with anyone. Even if someone
insults you, do not overreact.
Understand that there is a difference between being kind and being
merciful. Kindness is often accompanied by virtue. Once you are self-realized,
the kindness phase is over. Where there is kindness, there is also cruelty.
Those who have attained self-realization have no such brutality; the cruelty is
gone. The kindness is gone, and mercy has appeared. Be merciful, not kind.
